Air Quality and urban traffic in the EU: best practices and possible solutions (Euopean Parliament)

This study, commissioned by the European Parliament’s Policy Department for Citizens’ Rights and Constitutional Affairs, aims at gaining deeper insights into air quality problems in cities and regions, which are often caused by traffic. Five cities and regions are analyzed in more detail. General best practice examples and policy options include fiscal measures like higher taxation of diesel vehicles or congestion charges.
