Remarkably adaptive: Australian cities in a time of growth (Grattan Institute)

According to a new report by the Grattan Institute, Australian cities are seizing up and no amount of new roads and rail lines is going to stop the squeeze. The report recommends time-of-day road charging be introduced in Sydney and Melbourne, rail fares increased during peak hours, and proposed multi-billion dollar train links to regional cities scrapped.
